a fleeting moment of peace

Having been really busy the whole weekdays, it’s nice to have a short trip out of town during the weekend in the beautiful city of Tagaytay. It’s a favorite destination if you want some rest and relaxation.

The beauty of the lake is outstanding. The weather is cooler because Tagaytay sits on a higher altitude. The scenery is very panoramic and peaceful. The sky is bright blue and the clouds are so thick and white. The air is fresh and invigorating.

Come sit with me on the bench, relax and enjoy the fleeting moment while it lasts and let the cool soft breeze gently kiss our cheeks, throw out our worries away and just be inspired with the beauty of nature.

tagaytay revisited

It only took us about an hour drive to reach Tagaytay. It was a long weekend and a wonderful time to go out of town and spend bonding moments with the family. As soon as we arrived, i took some photos of Taal Volcano and Taal Lake. Had a nice time basking in the scenery, watching the clouds, taking deep breaths and feeling the cool breeze on my face. It has been said that the scenery will rejuvenate the mind and uplift the spirit and i super agree on that.

During one of our adventures in Tagaytay, we’ve already experienced fine dining at Breakfast at Antonio’s which is a high-end restaurant, this time we decided to have lunch at Antonio’s Grill. Food at Antonio’s Grill is great, and i think the best part is trying out for the first time their kangkong (water spinach) salad with shrimp. The taste is so fresh, it has a little spicy bite, it is crunchy and taste so heavenly. Wow! I will surely include that in my favorite food list.

After lunch, we went straight to Summit Ridge which is just a short drive away from Antonio’s Grill. Chillax mode at Starbuck’s, just letting the hours go by, unmindful of time, feeling the chilly crispy wind of Tagaytay after all this cool weather is what attracts the people to the place.

Everyone is craving for hot soup and so for dinner we had ramen at RaiRaiKen. We’ve been here before and i must say that their ramen noodles are so good.

We leisurely strolled around after dinner, bought some souvenirs, just enjoying the view, watching people come in hordes even at 9pm, taking wacky photos of each other and just having fun.

a silent witness to a lot of memories

Coffee or any of my favourite beverage from Starbucks is one of my most photographed items.  It is a witness to so many memories that i have accumulated over the years.  Here are some of these photos which i just randomly selected.

Above photo was taken last December 2011, or a day before my hubby left for abroad.  It was at Starbucks Tagaytay Summit Ridge.  My husband makes it a point to spend some bonding moments with us since he would be away for quite sometime to work overseas.  I remembered how foggy and windy it was during that time.  I also felt so sick inside, well not literally sick but just the thought that i wouldn’t be seeing my husband for a long time makes me feel like i would be.  It was his warm hands holding me that made me feel better.

My husband and I quietly celebrated our 10th year Anniversary dining in one of the restaurants at Rockwell and continued our bonding moments at Starbucks Rockwell Branch.  Above photo was taken last April 2010.  I remembered how we laughed on so many funny and wonderful memories we’ve shared as a couple.  He shared so many stories with me about his travel and we really had fun.  We were so happy.

Starbucks Tagaytay got to be my favourite branch.  The weather is awesome, the view is a sight to behold since it is overlooking Taal Lake where you could see the famous Taal Volcano.  Above photo was taken last November 2008 during my birthday.  Nothing is more precious than being with a loved one, warmed by his embrace on that cool and windy day.

My cup of coffee, it holds a thousand and more of memories.
