We have been experiencing rain today due to an upcoming storm. As soon as it stopped, i took the chance of taking photos of rain droplets and here they are.

This kind of weather makes me crave for comfort food. And speaking of comfort food, this reminds me of one of my all-time favorites… the onion brick. Yes, a very thick brick of onion rings.

This brick consists of layers upon LAYERS of mildly spicy, lightly battered onion rings deep fried to a crisp paired with bbq sauce and remoulade. So yummy! Oh how i wish i could copy the restaurant’s recipe and cook this at home.

And here’s sleepy Tiger enjoying the warmth of my laptop. This kind of weather makes me sleepy too.

a word a week photo challenge: bisect

We’re having nasty weather today because of a super typhoon but i’m glad that late this afternoon the rain has stopped. I was feeling lazy the whole day and this weather makes me want to just snuggle up in bed with the kitties.

This week’s theme for A Word A Week Photo Challenge is BISECT. I really don’t have that much photos about scenery but i would like to share these photos that i think could fit in the challenge.

Here’a photo of a pink wildflower. Notice how the clear focus in the middle bisects the entirety of the photo.

Here’s another photo of a leaf which is full of rain droplets that look like crystal beads that glisten. The leaf tends to divide the photo diagonally.

Today’s temperature reading is a hot 30 degrees. In the days to come it’s going to go hotter than that.

Last weekend, it rained just a little, sort of just passing through and i managed to capture some photos of my garden as soon as the drizzle stopped. I’m dreaming of a cooler weather so here are my entries for this week’s theme.

It’s exciting and refreshing to see the lines formed by droplets of rain on leaves on a hot and humid day.

Oh by the way, it’s my avocado tree. It has grown so tall since the day we planted it. It’s almost reaching my terrace.

We have been experiencing a rather cooler weather this month. The weather bureau had announced that this will go on till early February. The thermometer inside the house reads 25 degrees but it must be colder outside.

It’s almost always sunny here in my country and the cool weather from December to early February with peaks on January is something that we really enjoy and cherish because sooner it will be summer and temperatures may get as high as 39 degrees during the peak season.

We still experience some occasional drizzle especially early in the morning during the cold weather. The above photo was taken in my garden. The droplets of rain on leaves make for an exciting photo subject.

Well, enjoying the windy, cool and refreshing weather for now.
