A horseshoe is believed to bring good luck and wealth and as such it is hung on doors of some houses. It could be a foreshadow that some good things would come along the way.

There used to be a horse shoe hanging above our front door when I was growing up. 🙂
i also remember that we have one in our house in the province when i was small..
